On Saturday, May 14th, Wilma Jean Peterson departed this life for her heavenly home at the age of 85. She was born in Letona, AR on January 12th, 1937, to parents Esther (Britton) Pearce and Odis Pearce.

She married her high school sweetheart, Harold (Jr.) Peterson, in 1956. They were married 46 years until his death in 2002.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother, Willard Pearce.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Deborah Dunaway (R.L.) of Pangburn and Lisa New (Randy) of Quitman; 3 grandchildren, Tyler Stovall, Summer Dunaway, and Hayden Stovall; 3 step grandchildren, Scott Dunaway, Lindi Doyle, and Chance New; 3 step great grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

She especially enjoyed gardening, sewing, and crafting, but the great joy of her life was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She attended McJester Baptist Church as long as her health permitted.

Special thanks from the family to her beloved caregivers, Faith Moore and Barbara Ramsey, doctors and staff at Southridge Nursing Home and Hospice.

Services will be held at Olmstead Funeral Home in Heber Springs on May 18th, visitation at 12pm, funeral at 1pm. Interment to follow at Henderson Cemetery in Pangburn.
