*When Hubert Ray Epperson was born on May 2, 1911, in Arkansas, his father, William, was 25 and his mother, Lillie, was 22. He married Lela Butler Epperson on July 4, 1931. They had one child during their marriage. He died on April 16, 1997, in Magnolia, Arkansas, at the age of 85, and was buried in Pangburn, Arkansas.
