*When Hugh Chester Crook was born on April 4, 1882, in Cleburne, Arkansas, his father, Hugh, was 29 and his mother, Oretha, was 29. He married Carrie Annie Marsh on February 28, 1909, in Pangburn, Arkansas. They had ten children in 16 years. He died on March 18, 1974, in Heber Springs, Arkansas, at the age of 91, and was buried in Pangburn, Arkansas.
