Terry Gentry, 84, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He had lived in Jonesboro for the past 19 years, moving here from Fort Smith. Terry was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Having retired as a Sales Representative for the Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an avid Razorback fan. Terry excelled in track & field. He held the state high hurdle record for many years. He attended T. A. Futrall High School in Marianna and graduated from A & M College in Monticello. He served his country in the Arkansas Army National Guard.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Allison Gentry of the home; son, Scott Gentry, (Amy) of Bono; daughters, Ashley Blankenship of Jonesboro, Julia Cottrell (Gary) of Van Buren, Arkansas; brother, Jack Gentry of Heber Springs, Arkansas; grandchildren, Sarah Jane Gentry, Collin Cottrell and Alex Cottrell.

A public visitation will be from 11-1:00 PM, Saturday, December 21, 2019, at Emerson Funeral Home. All other services will be private under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro. To sign an online guestbook, go to emersonfuneralhome.com.
