When Mary Elizabeth "Mary Beth" O'Guin Gentry was born on February 9, 1925, in Rose Bud, Arkansas, her father, William, was 23, and her mother, Johnna, was 25. She married William Carroll Gentry on December 29, 1945. She died on April 13, 2002, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 77, and was buried there.
