Born Jeanne Walzy Waller, in Mill Bayou Township, AR, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Holt, her parents Homer and Essie Missouri McDaniel Waller, her paternal grandparents David Lewis and Emma Florence Utley Waller and her maternal grandparents Rev. Jesse Abbott and Ruth Ella Hollis McDaniel. Her beloved sisters Rosella Simpson, Lula Faye Steele, Flora Dee Ratcliff, Mary Ella Giles, Emma Lois Gomez, Frances Doris Cagle, and brothers John Lewis Waller, Homer C. Waller, and Franklin Delano Waller all preceded her in death. Of her twenty two nieces and nephews and their families, all but one are surviving. In addition there are close to 50 great nieces and nephews to add to the mix

Our cousin, Lloyd Waller, and his wife, Shirley and their son Brian, whom the family would like to thank for taking care of her after Uncle Walt's early demise.

Jeanne grew up in Pine Bluff, AR where she played the coronet in the high school band and planted Victory Gardens during WWII. Jeanne and her husband were from the community of DeWitt, AR before moving to Heber Springs, AR

Our Aunt Jeanne was never fortunate enough to have her own children. But all of us know that she cared for us, was interested in our achievements, wept with our parents when things were awry in the household, loving each of us as her own. Jeanne was energetic and full of excitement in anything she aspired to do. She was an superb stenographer, secretary, Master Gardener, faithful sister and aunt and desperately in love with her pets.
All of us who knew her, realized she was the glue that held everything together. The family reunions she coordinated were truly good old mountain jubilees. Her family was her passion. She carved out a place on this planet called Walter's Mountain.
One of her great hobbies was being creative on the computer when it was a new technology.

Her skill in calligraphy was on all of our birthday cards.
Jeanne was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Her fellow members of the Cleburne County, AR Master Gardeners Club remember her as industrious, committed and had a servant's heart. She volunteered to help answer the phone. We all know how good she was at conversation. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Pangburn, always dressed to the nines.

Services will be held on June 1, 2019 at graveside with Kenneth Roland officiating. Visitation at 11:00 AM with service and burial to follow at Henderson Cemetery, Pangburn, AR. She will be buried next to her loving husband.
