Homer Lloyd Fanning, 87, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas died August 24, 2022 at Ashley Health and Rehab in Rogers.

He was born September 19, 1934 in Berryville, Arkansas to Jack Lawson Fanning and Maggie May Aday Fanning and was a US Army Veteran. He married Karen Lee Miller August 20, 1964 and worked as a security guard for North Arkansas Poultry for many years. Homer was a cattle farmer, loved Washington Redskins Football, trains, traveling and being outdoors. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Karen Fanning and a brother, Lonnie Fanning.

Survivors are three sons, Jeff Fanning and wife Sharon of Pea Ridge, Michael Fanning and wife Adriann of Rogers, Randall Fanning of Pea Ridge; siblings, Tommy Fanning and wife Gayla of Springdale, Mary Crews and husband Gary Lee of Eureka Springs, Betty Fanning of Berryville; three grandchildren.

Service is set for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Pea Ridge. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, August 29 at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be at Buttram Chapel Cemetery in Pea Ridge following the service.

Karen Lee Fanning, 71, of Pea Ridge, died Thursday, October 23, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. She was born May 8, 1943, at Orleans, Nebraska, to Melvin Earl Miller and Fern Louise Wagner Miller. She married Homer Lloyd Fanning August 20, 1964, and the couple moved to Pea Ridge in 1987 from Long Island, Kansas, to make her home. She was an avid reader, enjoyed watching the Preakness, Kentucky Derby, Pro-Bowlers Tour, and she always made a big roaster full of popcorn for her children as they watched. She enjoyed the songs of Loretta Lynn, vacationing and sightseeing, gardening and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors are her husband Homer Lloyd Fanning of the home; three sons, Michael Fanning and wife Adriann of Rogers, and Randall Fanning and Jeffrey Fanning and wife Sharon all of Pea Ridge; one sister, Loretta Frey and husband Merlin of Red Cloud, Nebraska; and three grandchildren.
Service is set for 11:00 Thursday, October 30, at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge with a visitation beginning at 9:00 before the service. Burial will be at Buttram Chapel Cemetery.
