Lavern Faye Vaughan, 85, of Dover, AR, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Legacy Heights Nursing Home in Russellville, AR. The daughter of Burnie and Jala Bellah Tyler, she was born July 2, 1929 in Warm Springs, AR. She, along with her husband Ray were owners of Farmers Supply Center in Dover for over 23 years. Lavern was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dover. She loved spending time with her granddaughter and great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Vaughan; sister, Nova Cravens; brother, Jim Tyler.
Survivors include a son Darrell Vaughan (Wanda) of Dover; daughter, Anita Hall (Charles)of Dover; one granddaughter, Jennifer Henderson (Andrew) of Dover; one great granddaughter, Alyssa Henderson of Dover; three sisters, Shirley Steury (Charles)of Fairfield, IL, Omega Scarbrough (Donnie) of Fairfield, IL, Virginia Witter (Don)of Fairfield, IL; three brothers, J.B. Tyler (Ollie Mae)of Fairfield, IL, Andrew Tyler (Marilyn) of Salem, IL, Nathaniel Tyler (Joan)of Mt. Vernon, IL; brother in law, Lewis Cravens of Fairfield, IL; five sisters in law, Darlene Tyler of Fairfield, IL, Jennie Von Martin of West Covina, CA, Jennett Barnett of Grass Valley CA, Ann Vaughan of Dover, Leta Maxwell of Dover; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Dover. Rev Jeff Paxton, Rev Sandy Taylor, and Rev Don R. Hankins will officiate. Burial will be at McFadden Cemetery in Dover, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
