Otis Ray Jones April 29, 1930 ~ August 05, 2019
Beloved husband and father, Otis R. Jones, 89, of Russellville, AR passed away on August. 5, 2019, and is now with his Lord and Savior in Heaven.

He is survived by "his three girls” as he called his wife of 70 years, Pauline Jones; and his two daughters, Jeanette Whitcomb (Boomer) of Dover AR; and Diane Lewis (Rick) of Springdale AR. He will be missed by his three Grandsons: Jeremy Whitcomb (Misty) of Dover; Josh Whitcomb (Stephanie) of Fayetteville; and Matthew Lewis of Springdale. He also leaves behind two dearly loved great grandchildren: Luke Whitcomb and Claire Whitcomb of Russellville, also known as "the whirlwinds.”

Otis was born in Humphrey, Arkansas in 1930, to Forster and Aury Jones. He graduated from Humphrey High School where he participated in basketball and theater, and was vice-president of the student council. Otis served in the U.S. Army with the 322 Heavy Tank Battalion and was a Korean War Veteran. He had a love of the outdoors which he shared with friends and family. He was a hunter and fisherman who always had an adventure; like the time he went squirrel hunting and shot a wild monkey; or, the time he went on a redfish fishing trip and caught a shark! He loved a good practical joke and was forever surprising his friends and family. But he loved ice cream most of all.

Interment is at McFadden Cemetery in Dover, under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
