September 8, 1907 - October 8, 1996
Clifford Smith, 89, of Dover died Tuesday, Oct. 8 (1989) at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired boiler operator, a native of Pope County, son of the late Joseph I. and Blanche Hoseman Smith, and attended the Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Smith; two brothrs, Riley and Billy R. Smith; and a sister, Ethel Dotson.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald and Jerry Smith of Dover; a daughter, Geraldine Bush of Dover; three brothers, Melvin and Lester Smith of Sperry, Okla.; two sisters, Bertha Byrum of Dover and Naomi Roberts of Norwalk, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McFadden Cemetery by the Rev. Bob Branch and the Rev. Sonny Sain. Burial will be by Shinn Funeral Service.
