Beverly Rae Neagles, 72, a resident of Russellville, formerly of Arizona, died Sunday, September 14, 2008, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 29, 1936, at Grand Forks, North Dakota to Mark and Pauline McConnell Gress. She was a 1958 graduate of Oxnard High School in Oxnard, California. Following graduation from high school, she entered nursing school in Phoenix then went to work at the Phoenix Indian School Hospital. She retired from the Marcus J. Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Cottonwood, Arizona where she worked as a surgical nurse. She also worked as a nurse in Phoenix, Arizona and Springdale, Arkansas and was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church at Russellville. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Mark W. Gress Jr.

Survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Tim and Mandy Gray Neagles of Russellville, Kevin Neagles of Centerton, Arkansas, and Gary Neagles of Walla Walla, Washington; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Judy Gress of Charlottesville, Virginia; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and John Benish of Farmington; and six grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at McFadden Cemetery at Dover with the Rev. Don Erwin officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Teague, Robbie McKown, Charles Gray, Matthew Neagles, Cody Neagles, and David Gress.
