Sep 1, 1953 - Nov 3, 2020
Lavada “Ann” Autry (67) was born September 1, 1953 to Roy and Anita (Kling) Harris in Little Rock, Arkansas. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 3, 2020 after a valiant fight against cancer. Ann never claimed her illness. She only fought a hard fight and desired to honor and glorify her Savior in her battle. She longed to “ring the bell” signifying that she was cancer-free. Ann rang her bell in Heaven as she stepped into Glory with a glorified, new body and into the arms of her Savior and her beautiful mother.
Ann grew up and lived in the Mabelvale area as a child and teen. She was a 1971 graduate of McClellan High School. Ann lived and worked in Peoria, Illinois for nearly a decade before settling in Little Rock and Jacksonville. For 22 years she worked in various positions for Pulaski County. She retired in 2019 after working for the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility as a Classification Specialist.
Ann was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. She was a listening ear and trustworthy confidant. Though she had many hobbies throughout her lifetime, quilting was her favorite. She also enjoyed crocheting, camping, swimming, and having get-togethers with family and friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her mother. She is survived by her father and stepmother (Ruby); her sister, Debbie Holland; her children, Stephanie (Allen) Copeland, Jason (Trina) Sparks and Darby (James) Morris. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and a host of other family members including cousins, a niece and nephew, and 5 great-nieces and nephews.
The Home Going and Celebration of Life Service for Ann Autry will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 6th, 2020 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Copeland officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 501-982-2136.
