Ama Belle Bewley, 84, of Russellville, Arkansas, died Saturday, December 13, 2003 at Russellville Nursing Center in Russellville, Arkansas.

The daughter of David and Jennie Belle (Price) Bewley, she was born October 23, 1919 in Dover, Arkansas.

She attended Arkansas Tech University and worked for 30 years as a sales clerk with Neiman Marcus and Sakowitz in Houston, Texas. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, American Legion Auxiliary, Beta Phi and the First United Methodist Church of Russellville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, David R. Bewley Sr. and Benny Bewley, and four sisters, Floye Bewley, Lillian Brooks, Hallie Baker, and Myrtle Bewley.

Survivors include one brother, J.B. Bewley, of Memphis; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral and burial will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at McFadden Cemetery at Dover, Arkansas. Dr. Hubert Morrow will officiate.
