Marvin Eugene Phifer , of Judsonia, AR., passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 21, 2012, while surrounded by family and friends.

Gene will always be remembered in the hearts of all who knew him as a faithful and devoted son, brother and friend, but most of all as the loving and most loved husband, father and grandfather the world has ever known.

Gene leaves behind a loving wife of 59 years, Mary Lee Phifer, 2 sons, Larry Phifer and his wife Janie and Tommy Phifer; 3 grandchildren, Mark Phifer, Michael Phifer and Tisha Phifer; 5 great-grandchildren, Jordan Phifer, Alexis Baker, Mylek Baker, Makayla Baker and Mason Phifer; 2 sisters, Ima Jean Ward and Elsie Nelson.

Gene will have a blessed life in heaven doing all that he enjoyed most here on earth, his favorite past times of hunting, fishing and telling stories of "the good old days" can now be shared with all those who passed before him.

Gene was preceded in death by his mother and father, Thomas Edgar and Clara Mae (Bell) Phifer; 3 brothers, S. Ray Phifer, Thomas Phifer and William Phifer; 2 sisters, Glada Wilcox and Levaughn Powell.

Interment was in the Bethlehem Cemetery at Plainview. Arrangements were entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia.

Mary Lee (Branscum) Phifer, 78, of Judsonia, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014. She was born December 10, 1935 in Culp, Arkansas a daughter of the late Albert and Beulah Bagwell Branscum.

Mary was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Eugene Phifer; 4 brothers, Buster, Carl, Bud and Harvey D. Branscum; 2 sisters, Zella Cox and Jeraldine Chism.

Mary is survived by 2 sons; Larry Phifer and wife Janie of Bald Knob and Tommy Phifer of Judsonia; 3 grandchildren, Mark Phifer and wife Shelly of Bald Knob, Michael Phifer of Bald Knob and Tisha Phifer of Judsonia; 6 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Adeline, Mason, Alexis, Malek and Makayla; 4 brothers, Leffel, Louie, Arvey C. and Jim Branscum as well as numerous sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Mary worked for 27 years at General Industries in Bald Knob and loved to tell stories and memories of the many friends she had there. She will be loved, missed and always remembered by her neighbors, friends and family.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Services will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery in the Plainview community.

Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob - Judsonia.
