Husband of Louise Rachel Townsend Maxwell
Funeral rites for Walter E. Maxwell, 70, of Route 1, Rudy, Arkansas was held at 2 p.m. at the 81 Church with the Rev. D. D. Peters and the Rev. Earl Gentry officiating. Burial was in Mount McCurry Cemetery with Ocker Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Maxwell, who died Tuesday at a Van Buren Hospital, was a retired employee of Fort Smith Furniture Company.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; three sons, Kenneth Wade, Earl Ray and Roy, of the home; eight daughters, Georgia of Van Buren; Mrs. Paul Killingstad, Shirley, Mary, Wanda, Rosa Lee, Eunice and Marsha, all of Fort Smith; a sister Mrs. Floy Woodard of Muldrow and 15 grandchildren.
