Melba Jane King personified the angel she was in life as she went home to be with the Lord on November 18, 2017. Melba was born September 28, 1940, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and worshiping God.

Melba was a member of Gospel Light Church. She was a very kind hearted, beautiful, and quick-witted woman, who could bring love and light into any room. Truly a one-of-a-kind woman, Melba, worked at Haines Refrigeration, ABT, Burton Eisele Clinic, and Hot Springs Medical.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Christine Otten; father, Louis Hawley; brothers, Curtis and Gary Hawley; daughter, Lisa Pultz; and beloved grandsons, Aaron and Matthew Pultz.

Survivors include her sister, Carolyn Sue Murders; niece, Cindy Murders; nephew, Brian Murders; brother, Larry Gregory; and step-son, Brett Duncan. She was honorary “Mimi” to: Gabrielle Harvey, Destini Stevens, and Stratton Caldwell; her special friends: Crystal Harvey, Jean Elder, Dana Freeman, Sandra Hutchinson, Billie Hood, and Brenda McCurry.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Ricky Mums, Brett Duncan, Jeff Pultz, John Hood, Fred Loyd, Floyd Harvey, and Gabrielle Harvey.

Honorary pallbearers are Tim Ferguson, Dr. Lawrence Dodd, Dr. John Haggard, and Dr. Ted Faro.
