Okie Hunter, 96, of Van Buren passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 in a local hospital.
She was a former employee of Dixie Cup Company and a homemaker. She attended Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Hunter; her parents, Otis And Ada (Rudder) McAfee; a grand-daughter Tami Branson; two sons, Johnny Hunter and Carroll Wayne Hunter; a brother Bill McAfee. She was the last of her immediate family.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Ocker Memorial Chapel with burial at Mt McCurry Cemetery near Rudy under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren, Arkansas.
She is survived by her daughter, Arlene Clark and husband Lawrence Clark of Van Buren; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and twelve great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dwayne Bell, Stanley Clark, Jeff Clark, Derek Morland, Dillon Luzader and Joseph Ware.
