Ida Esther Vincent, 105, a resident of the Woodlawn Nursing Home at Batesville, died Saturday at the home. She was the widow of John Vincent, who preceded her in death in 1938. She was married to Mr. Vincent in 1889 at Rector.

A Native of Anna, Ill., she resided at Calico Rock from 1914-1935 when she moved to McHugh near Batesville where she resided until her death. She had resided at the nursing home for several years. She was a member of the Methodist Church at McHugh. Mrs. Vincent recently received a letter from Gov. David Pryor, congratulating her as the oldest resident in the state.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Benbrook of Peoria, Ore., and Mr. Velda Cartwright of Batesville; 14 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren and nine great-great-great-grandchildren.

Service were held at 10am Monday at the Batesville Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. Vernon Paysinger, pastor of the McHugh Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment was in the Kyler Cemetery near Batesville under the direction of the Batesville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Audley Partee, Gary Pierson, Sammy Brooks, Carl D Shoemaker, Neal Floyd and Cecil Cartwright.
