Maurine Hargrove Cartwright, 83, of Batesville died Saturday, July 19, 2008, at her home. Born Oct. 31, 1924, at Rosie, she was the daughter of Howard Monroe and Lillian Inman Hargrove.

She retired from International Shoe Factory in Batesville and was a member of West Baptist Church in Batesville.

Survivors include a brother, Medford Hargrove of Newport; two sisters, Mae Nell Clark of Batesville and Mablene Lewis of Plato, Mo.; and several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, L.T. Cartwright; two brothers, M.J. Hargrove and Marcus Dean Hargrove; a sister, Majesty Norman; and her grandparents, Eldridge and Sarah Hargrove and John Lee and Leah Inman.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Brian Ryals officiating.

Burial will be in Kyler Cemetery in Southside.

Pallbearers will be James Head, Willie Allen, J.B. Presley, Dennie Apple, Robert Tate and Jeff Fuller.

Honorary pallbearers are C.W. Stephens, Brandon Fuller, Larry D. Lewis, David R. Lewis and Aaron Clark.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight.
