SUMNER, Henry C. - (from War Eagle) Henry C. Sumner was born in Lawrence county, Illinois October 19, 1846 and died at his home here on Monday, November 19, 1923 at the age of 77 years. He was married to Permelia Robison. To this union was born eight children, six boys and two girls - all of whom were here at the time of his death except one daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Easley, of Wan, Okla. Dick Sumner and Bert Sumner, his two sons, have also lived here for several years. Grandpa Sumner and wife moved here some six years ago and have made many friends who extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved wife and children.
