OZARK - Russell Childers, 80, of Ozark died Friday, Oct. 21, 2005, in Ozark. He was born Feb. 21, 1925, in Rudy. He was a farmer and a Pentecostal.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Mount McCurry Cemetery in Rudy under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys; five daughters, Phyllis Seabolt of Uniontown, Connie Nesbitt of Springdale, Hazel Nichols, Linda Lovelady and Shirley Lingo, all of Ozark; two sons, Jerry Childers of Ozark and Randall Childers of Springdale; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bradley and Sheldon Childers, Kendall Ward, Jim Lingo, Rusty Payne and Shawn Lovelady.

Gladys Irene Atwell Childers, age, 84, of Ozark, Arkansas died Sunday, January 17, 2010 in Ozark.

She was born January 13, 1926 in Van Buren, Arkansas to J.W. and Sylvia Pixley Atwell.

She was a nurses aide and a homemaker; she was of the Pentecostal faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell "Pete" Childers and a son, Russell Allen Childers.

Left to cherish her memories include her daughters; Shirley Lingo of Cedarville; Linda Lovelady of Booneville,Hazel Nichols of Ozark; Connie Nesbitt of Springdale,and Phyllis Seabolt of Cedarville; two sons, Jerry and Randall Childers, both of Ozark; a sister, Orpha Lane of Van Buren, two brothers, Floyd Atwell of Van Buren and Paul Atwell of Alma; Twenty-one grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Shaffer Funeral Chapel in Ozark, with the Rev. Rodney Lane officiating. Burial will be at Mt. McCurry Cemetery in Rudy.
