Robert "Bob" Eldridge, age 87, of Hot Springs, died Thursday, May 22, 2014. He was born on August 2, 1926 in Moberly, Missouri, the son of Robert Amos Eldridge and Helen Mable Wilson Eldridge. On July 1, 1951, he was married to Shirley Kaye Snider, who preceded him in death on September 16, 2013. He was also preceded in death by his parents. Bob was served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II and was member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. In 1951, he graduated the University of Missouri where he received a degree in Business Administration. He retired from ConAgra Foods after 32 years as a plant manager. His hobbies included golf and bowling. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Bruce and Kathlene Eldridge of Austin, Texas; and two granddaughters, Catlin Eldridge of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Meghan Eldridge of Columbia, Missouri. Private graveside services will be held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
