The funeral service for Marion Henry Brown, 320 North 20th Street, Van Buren, Arkansas, was held Thursday, May 23, 1968 at the 81 Free Will Baptist church with Glen Dipboye the officiating minister. Burial, directed by Edwards Funeral Home, was at Mount McCurry cemetery near Rudy.

A former resident of Rudy, Arkansas, he was born on April 4, 1884 to John and Sallie Brewer Brown and was 84 years old at the time of his death. He was a retired farmer and member of the 81 Free Will Baptist church.

Survivors are his wife; two sons; four daughters; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Myrtle L. Brown, 81 years old of 303 North 20th
Street, Van Buren, Arkansas died Saturday, May 29, 1971 in a local nursing home.

A native of Crawford county, she was born March 27, 1890, the daughter of Lafayette and Nancy Neal Lamb.

Survivors are a son, John L. Brown of Penryn, California; a stepson, Thell Brown of Fort Smith; three daughters, Mrs. Douglas Peters of Rudy, Mrs. Geraldine Wagoner of Downey, California and Mrs. Hester V. Silva of Sacramento, California; a step-daughter, Mrs. Atha Burkhart of Whitesboro, Texas; and several grandchildren.

Funeral service was held at the 81 church at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Gilbert Pixley, pastor of the Bethlehem Freewill Baptist church officiated. Burial was in Mt. McCurry cemetery and was conducted by Edwards Funeral Home.
