Mack Charlotte Mangum, 78 of Strong and formally of Homewood MS, passed away Wednesday at Hudson Nursing Home after a long battle from Alzheimers.

She was born on January 5, 1936 to Johnnie Mack Windham and Oma Geneva Moore Windham. Charlotte was a member of Knowles Baptist Church in Strong. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being outdoors, cleaning the pasture and playing the piano.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Joe Mangum.

Survivors include her daughter Wanda (Leonard Carey) Herring of Strong, son Marty Mangum of Strong, grandchildren Charlie (Melissa) McHenry of El Dorado, John Herring of Strong and Christine (Chad) Jones of Strong, great grandchildren Chase and Kayla McHenry of El Dorado.

Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Knowles Baptist Church in Strong.

Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. Friday, May 2, 2014 at the church with Bro. Tommy Nash officiating with burial to follow at Centerpoint Cemetery in Strong under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels.

Pallbearers are John Herring, Charlie McHenry, Steve Mangum, Terry Bolding, Charles Moore and John Ed Moore and Honorary Pallbearer Harold Moore.

The family request that memorials be made to UCAPS, 1000 Sunset Rd, El Dorado, Ar. 71730, Hope Landing, 214 Hope Landing, El Dorado, Ar. 71730 or Life Touch Hospice, 2301 Champagnolle Rd. El Dorado, 71730.
