January 4, 1919 - October 9, 1971
Alma D. Williams, 59, wife of Erill Williams of Eagle Mills, died Saturday. She was a member of St. John's Baptist Church at Eagle Mills where she is active in the women's circles, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Besides her husband, she is survived by seven sons; Charles H. Williams, and LeRoy Gordon Williams of Eagle Mills, James A. WIlliams of Chicago, John T. Williams of the US Navy in California, Benny R. Williams of Little Rock, Sgt. Harold E. Williams with the US Army in Germany and S-Sgt. Jimmy L. Williams with the US Marines in California; two daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Griffith and Edith Carolyn Williams of Eagle Mills; three brothers, D. W. Thrower and Gillard Thrower of Chicago, and James B. Thrower of Texas, and five grandchildren. The body will be taken to the home Friday night to remain until the funeral on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery by Williams Funeral Home. (Camden News - October 13, 1971)
