Cleston Arnold, 84, of Rudy, Arkansas, died February 26, 2009 in Fort Smith. He was born September 29, 1924 in Armada, Arkansas, McKinley and Viana Arnold. He was a served in the U.S. Marines during World War II, he was a retired custodian for the Alma Primary School, retired from Farmland Industries and was a member of Oliver Springs Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine Colton.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Wanda Gentry Arnold, of the home; 6 daughters, Clesta Sneed and her husband Dennis of Harrison, AR, Sue Capp and her husband Paul of Rudy, AR, Kathy Wiley and her husband Tommy of Rudy, AR, Teresa Harris and her husband Tony of Rudy, AR, Amy Ewing and her husband Charles of Alma, AR, and Lisa Wahlmeier and her husband Craig of Alma, AR; five sons, Alan Arnold and his wife, Crecie of Mountainburg, AR, David Arnold and his wife Sherry of Knoxville, TN, Rick Arnold of Van Buren, AR, Anthony Arnold and his wife, Cindy of Alma, AR, and Stanley Arnold of Cedarville, AR; three sisters, Renie Jester of California, Polly Brown of Van Buren, AR, Jean Hodkinson of Van Buren, AR; three brothers, Edward Arnold of California, Dillard Arnold of California, and Mack Arnold of Alma, AR; 27 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 2, 2009 at the First Baptist Church Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Mount McCurry Cemetery in Rudy, AR under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.

Wanda Lea (Gentry) Arnold, 87, of Rudy died peacefully Saturday, March 30, 2013, in her home.
She was born Nov. 16, 1925, in Rudy to Deanys Sidney and Nancy Jane Gentry.

She was a retired custodian for Alma Primary School and also retired from the Derrel Thomas Co. She was a charter member and active Sunday school teacher with Oliver Springs Free-Will Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Cleston Arnold; three sisters, Jewel Cook, Edna Weeks and Trixie Chadwick; and four brothers, Walter, Teddy, Paul and Amos Gentry.

She is survived by six daughters, Clesta Sneed and husband Dennis of Harrison, Sue Capp and husband Paul of Rudy, Kathy Wiley and husband Tommy of Rudy, Teresa Harris and husband Tony of Rudy, Amy Ewing and husband Charles of Blanchard, Okla., and Lisa Wahlmeier and husband Craig of Alma; five sons, Alan Arnold and wife Crecie of Mountainburg, David Arnold and wife Sherry of Rogers, Rick Arnold of Rudy, Anthony Arnold and wife Cindy of Alma and Stanley Arnold of Cedarville; a sister, Geneva Stewart of Rudy; 27 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church Chapel in Van Buren with interment to follow at Mt. McCurry Cemetery in Rudy under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Heath Arnold, Josh Arnold, Ryan Arnold, Daniel Arnold, David Ewing, Todd Harris, Jeremy Arnold, Gentry Wahlmeier and Courtney Harris.

Her grandchildren and Harold Howard will be honorary pallbearers.
