Rev. Johnny "Johnnie" Atwell, 90, of Van Buren, Arkansas, formerly of Rudy, Arkansas died Sunday, April 13, 1986 at a Van Buren nursing home.

A lifelong Crawford County resident, he was a minister and member of the 88 Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving were his wife; five daughters, Stella, Gladys, Thelma, Opha and Thelma Cluck; five sons; a step-son, Woodrow; four sisters; Plummie, Trella, Norma and Sally; and six brothers.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Ocker Memorial Chapel, with Reverends, Earl Gentry and Lloyd Shores officiating. Burial was at Mt. McCurry Cemetery. Pallbearers were his grandsons, Danny, Victor, Darris, Jerry, Johnny, and Jimmy Don.

Funeral rites for Mrs. Sylvia Atwell, 77, of Rudy, Arkansas, will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Ocker Memorial Chapel with the Rev. R. E. Pixley officiating. Burial will be in Mount McCurry Cemetery with Ocker Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Atwell who died Tuesday in her home was a member of the 88 Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband. the Rev. J.W. Atwell; six daughters, Virgie, Stella, Thelma, Gladys, Iva Jean and Orpha; five sons; three brothers, the Rev. Ben Pixley of Fort Smith, Johnny of Seminole, Oklahoma and a number of grand children and great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were her grandsons.
