Larry D. Turner, 63, of Van Buren, died Saturday, February 20, 2010, in Fort Smith after a two-year battle with cancer.
He was the retired owner of Larry's Transmissions, served in the Air Force, and was involved with the Gospel Rescue Mission.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Turner; brother, John F. Turner, Jr. and a granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Turner.
Funeral services was Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
He is survived by a daughter, Tammy Rogers and husband Bryan of Van Buren; two sons, David Turner and wife Kelly of Van Buren, and Danny Turner and wife Donishia of Van Buren; his mother Mabel Turner of Van Buren; a sister Linda Fimple of Van Buren; a brother Eddie Turner of Van Buren; nine grandchildren; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers were John Turner, Kevin Rogers, Andrew Turner, Bart Turner, Mike Thompson and Craig Smith. An honorary pallbearer were Larry Mason.
