Jimmy Lee Turner, 73, of Tenkiller Harbour, OK. formerly of Fort Smith, went to meet his Lord and Saviour on September 10, 2009 after a battle with cancer.
He was born March 1, 1936 in Figure Five, AR.
He was of the Protestant faith, retired employee of Southwestern Glass, an outdoorsman and avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Jewel Turner and five sisters and five brothers.
He is survived by his wife Mary of Tenkiller , two daughters, Teresa Evert of Van Buren, AR. and Helen Curry of Fort Smith, AR. one step-son, Damon Ruckman of Barling, AR., and two brothers, William Turner of Tecumseh, OK. and George Turner of Mulberry, Arkansas. Fourteen grandchildren twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral service were at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR. with interment at Dora Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mike Ferstel, Rick Duvic, Bob Clayton, and Charles Gehay. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Jackson, David Welch and Ken Draper.
