Jesse "Jess" Ira Rickman, 90, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on a Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in a Tempe, Arizona Hospice facility.

He was a retired detention Officer for the Sebastian County Sheriff's Department. He was an Army Air Force veteran and served in Alaska and a member of the American Legion. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Fort Smith where he was a deacon and a member of the choir. He also was a volunteer driver for the Veteran Administration transporting patients to the Fayetteville Veterans Administration.

He was preceded in death by his parents Reverend Ira and Lucille Rickman, his sister Irene and his wife Jewell.

Funeral services are 2:00PM Monday, April 2, 2012 at First Free Will Baptist Church of Fort Smith with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.

He is survived by his son Gerald Rickman of Mesa, Arizona and by his church family and a host of friends.

Pallbearers are Gary O'Kelley, Phillip Robbins, Keith Brown, Joshua Chankheo, Franscio Beltran and Ron Wilcox.
