Funeral services for Paul V. Rapier, 63 of 2 Loch Lomond, Van Buren, Arkansas were held Tuesday afternoon at the Ocker Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Scroggin officiating. Burial was at Gracelawn Cemetery with Ocker Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Rapier, who died Sunday at a Fort Smith, Arkansas hospital, was a veteran of World War II and a member of Van Buren Masonic Lodge N. 6. Scottish Rite of Western Arkansas and a 32 degree Mason. He was employed at the Sparks Regional Medical Center and president of Plasterers Local 332 and chairman of the board of trustees and member of the Official board of St. John's United Methodist Church.

He is survived by three daughters, Nadine of Fort Smith, Jeannene of Springdale and Paula of Van Buren; one son, Danny of Van Buren; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Val Rapier of Van Buren, Arkansas.

Mrs. Naomi Rapier, 58 years old, 2 Loch Lomond, Van Buren, Arkansas, died Thursday morning, March 22, 1973 at her home.

A native of Clyde, Arkansas, she was born October 13, 1914, the daughter of the late T.W. and Mollie (Baugh) Burgess and had lived in Van Buren since 1934. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist church, Women's Society of Christian Service, Builders Sunday school class and the administrative board of the church.

Survivors are her husband; a son; three daughters, Nadine, Paula and Jeanne; two brothers; five sisters; and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Ocker Memorial chapel. David Scroggin, pastor of St. John's United Methodist church officiated assisted by George Cleary of Batesville, Arkansas and Bill Wilder of Wynne, Arkansas. Burial was in Gracelawn cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the WSCS and Carroll Pike, A.C. Brown, J.E. Poague. E. H. Hammontree, Clyde Shibley Sr. and James Minor.
