Reverend Jewel Franklin Morrison, Jr, 84, died May 4, 1992, at a local hospital.
He was a retired Free Will Baptist Minister and a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Fort Smith. He also founded and built the Oliver Springs Free Will Baptist church in 1959. He was a lifelong resident of Crawford county.
Survivors are his wife; a daughter; three step-daughters; a son; two sisters; three brothers; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 1992, at First Assembly of God Church with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery. Reverend Jimmy Morrison and Reverend Gilbert Pixley officiated.

Mrs. Rena (Brewer) Morrison, 68, wife of the Rev. Jewel Morrison, SR, died Friday in a Fort Smith, Arkansas hospital.
She resided at 900 Lincoln, Van Buren, Arkansas. She was a member of Oliver Springs Freewill Baptist Church which she and her husband founded in 1959.
Survivors in addition to her husband include one daughter, Jo Ann of Alma; one son; her mother, Ethel; one sister Bertha; two brothers, Jess and Hershal; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Oliver Springs Freewill Baptist Church with burial in Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.
