William P. Hill, Sr., 84 years old of 704 North 20th Street, Van Buren, Arkansas died Sunday, November 24, 1968 in a local hospital. A native of Golden, Missouri, he was born May 8, 1884 and had resided in Van Buren since 1928. He was a bridge and building foreman for the Missouri Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1958 after 45 years of service, a member of St. John's Methodist church, the Men's Bible Class and maintenance Way lodge 2717.

Survivors are five sons; two daughters, Lillian and Marie; one brother, five sisters, Nell, Ivy, Bertha, Rena and Tina; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held at St. John's Methodist church at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Cyril Wilson pastor, offficiated. He was assisted by Edwin Burris, pastor of First Assembly of God church. Burial in Gracelawn cemetery was directed by Ocker Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the Men's Bible Class of St.John's Methodist Church.
