Kathleen (Nancy) Brooks Fidler (80) from Bella Vista, Ark., died on June 20, 2020. She is survived by three children, Becky DeJong (Bob Kozojed), Beth Hall (Mike), Richard (Tom) Fidler (Mary); eight grandchildren, Emma Perkins (Luke), Mary Hickman (Michael), Claire Pfau (Zack), Tatum and Mitchell Hall, Madeline, Ella, and Will Fidler; five great-grandchildren, Asher, Lewis, Nora, and Anna Perkins, Olivia Hickman; and one sibling, Phillip Brooks (Gloria). She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard (Dick) Fidler (2004) and her son-in-law, Tom Dejong (2006).
Kathy was born on August 27, 1939, in Berea, Ohio, to Merle and Marcella Brooks (Lamb). She graduated from Berea High School in 1957 and from Ohio State University in 1961. She was married in 1960. They lived in the Columbus, Ohio, area. They moved to Pueblo, Colo., in 1975, to Huron, S.D. in 1978, and to Bella Vista, Ark., in 1992.
She gave her friends and family love, guidance, support, patience, and friendship. Always a teacher, she wanted her last lesson for her family and friends to be 'Miss me — but let me go.'
A limited service was held at her home on July 25, 2020. Her ashes were placed next to Dick's in the Bella Vista Memorial Gardens.
Kathy is a follower of Jesus. Always joyful, knowing that Christ will win in the end.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista (pcbv.org) or to Hope Cancer Resources in Springdale (hopecancerresources.org).
