Eugene Paul “Gene” Fisher, 93, of Sebastian Lake in Hackett died Wednesday, June 25, 2003, in Greenwood.
He was born Oct. 30, 1909, in New Franklin, Mo., to Sally Grace Landram Fisher and John Henry Fisher.
He was a poultry farmer and real estate broker. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Concord Baptist Church near Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Judy Fisher of Van Buren; one daughter and son-on-law, Linda and Ralph Riley of Hackett; three grandchildren, Shannon and Clayton Fisher and Tony Rupp and his wife, Angela of Mountainburg; three great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jackie and Will Rupp.
Pallbearers will be Shannon and Clayton Fisher, Tony and Joseph Rupp, Phil Christensen and Robert Weik.
Family will visit with friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Marjorie Louise Legg Fisher, 91, of Sebastian Lake, Hackett, Arkansas died Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at a Fort Smith hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Gene Fisher. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church and a graduate of Columbia College and Northeast State University in Warrensburg, Missouri. For over 30 years she taught high school business classes in New Franklin, Missouri, Mountainaburg and retired from Fort Smith Public Schools after teaching at Darby Junior High School for 12 years. She was a life member of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association and a member of the Fort Smith Retired Teachers Association.
She is survived by a daughter, a son, a sister, a brother, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at concord Baptist Church under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren. Pallbearers were grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
