Verna Marie Hill, 85, of Hot Springs passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014. She was born on December 16, 1928 to the late John and Marwil Birmingham in Hot Springs, AR. She retired from the Arlington Hotel after 45 years as a telephone operator. She was a member of St. John’ Catholic Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Hill, Sr.

Survivors include two sons, Robert (Connie) Hill of Honolulu, Hawaii, Russell (Ann) Hill of Hot Springs, three daughters, Linda Keenom of Carisbad, New Mexico, Susan Keenom of Hot Springs, and Michelle (James) Hughes of Dallas, Texas, two brothers, Raymond (Sharon) Birmingham of Hobbs, New Mexico and Charles (Sally) Birmingham of St. Louis, Missouri, ten grandchildren, Brian Hill, Kim (Brian) Brady, Richard (Georgina) Keenom, Linda (Keith) Sternberg, Jennifer (Kyle) Parker, Jill (Paul) Lynch, Abigail Hughes, Isaac Hughes, Ashley Hill and Mick Hill and numerous great grandchildren.

The Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 7:00 P.M.in the Hot Springs Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Robert Stanridge officiating followed by visitation until 9:00 P.M.

Funeral mass will be Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at St. John’s Catholic Church with Reverend James P. West officiating.

Pallbearers will be Keith Sternberg, Paul Lynch, Brian Brady, Dakota Weatherford, Bobby Missile and Renae Gordon.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
