GARFIELD — Mary Melvina Turney, 90, a longtime resident of Garfield, passed away peacefully Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at Rogers Health and Rehab. Mary was born Dec. 24, 1929, in Springdale to the late Alfred and Vista Newberry.
She was also preceded by her husband; her sister; and brother.
Mary worked for Emerson Electric far 26 years, was a member of Reddick Assembly of God Church in Garfield and love to cook, fish and do needlepoint.
Survivors include her son, Michael Turney; and a granddaughter, Dawn Michelle.
Graveside funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, in Reddick Cemetery, near Garfield. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. www.RollinsFuneral.com.
