She was born January 3, 1834 in Danville, Vermilion, Illinois to Bennett Hazel Clyman and Matilda Y. Lancaster Clyman.
She was a member of Wood Memorial Christian Church.
She was the wife of Jame Marion Wood.
The mother of George R. Wood, Mary Jane Wood, Margaret Ellen Wood, Annie Laura Wood Edmondson, James Marion Wood II, Jess Wood, Henry Clay Wood, William Lee "Willie" Wood, Walter Lesley Wood, and Norma Wood.
Funeral services were held at the Wood home on Broad Street in Van Buren on November 2, 1921, with interment at Fairview Cemetery.
