February 11, 1844 - January 4, 1873
She was the daughter of Martin A. & Julia (Burnett) Wade.
She moved, with her parents, to Crawford County, Arkansas about 1845. The family is listed on the 1850 census. Her father was a carpenter and helped build some of the first homes in Van Buren.
By the time of the 1860 census, both of her parents were dead, she was residing with the L.C. Southmayd family. She was still living with this family on the 1870 census and married later that same year.
She married Dr. John Samuel Shibley, 29 Dec 1870 in Crawford County, Arkansas at the home of L.C. Southmayd. They had one child which died shortly after birth. Maria died the following January. They were laid to rest in the Fairview cemetery.
