MELBOURNE – Alma Jane Cantrell Stevens, 84, of Melbourne died Monday, Jan. 26, 2004, in Calico Rock.
Born April 22, 1918, in Mississippi, she was the daughter of John Edward Cantrell and Latricia Delany Cantrell.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Troy Clinton Stevens of Daysetta, Texas; two daughters, Margaret Speirs of Hoxie and Janice Anderson of Little Rock; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Troy Stevens; three brothers, Gordon Cantrell, Martin Cantrell and Neeley Cantrell; three sisters, Velma Harris, Thelma Keeney and Annabelle Thompson; a daughter, Annajean Ramsey; and a grandson, Timothy Speirs.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Donnie Speak and Gilbert Molinar officiating.
Burial will be in Melbourne under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home.
**NOTE: according to daughter he was born in Floyd, White County, Arkansas not Mississippi as obituary states
