BENTONVILLE - Wendy LaRhea Pharr, 47, of Bentonville, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. Wendy was born Dec. 2, 1970, in Hope, Ark., to Jerry and Linda (Easterling) Brown as the youngest of four children.
Lovingly referred to as "Sissy," Wendy captured the hearts of her parents and her big brothers from the moment she was born. She was an avid sports fan. Wendy loved singing, hunting, fishing, playing softball and traveling the world.
Wendy was beautiful on the outside, but was even more beautiful on the inside. She was bigger than Life with a contagious smile and a laugh that could fill a room. She lived large and loved big. Her love and kindness knew no bounds. Whether you were family or friend, she would be there if needed. Being unselfish with her time, love, constant encouragement, and gifts, Wendy gave of herself unconditionally. Wendy demonstrated her loving and giving spirit for 10 years of service with the Parkinson's Support Group.
With her soulmate and the love of her life, Terry, she shared a love of the outdoors, hunting and traveling. Be it deer, elk, or turkey, Wendy could outshoot most men with her keen marksmanship. The two shared many wonderful adventures across the U.S. and abroad.
Wendy cherished the three years the couple lived in Shanghai, China. They cherished their time together in their traveling experiences to Australia, Vietnam, and Thailand to name a few. She lived life to the fullest. From her house dogs, Biscuit and now Whiskey, to her cutting horses, Wendy was a true animal lover.
She had numerous friends and was extremely loyal to each and all. Northwest Arkansas was a special place for Wendy. She was proud to return there after living away and spend time with her children and only grandson, Caston. She leaves behind great memories filled with laughter and joy upon which her friends and family will cherish for a lifetime.
Wendy's vivacious personality was contagious and when you were around her, you could not help but smile. With a voice as sweet and beautiful as herself, Wendy had a true passion for singing.
As much as she loved this life, she loved her Lord and Savior. The trumpets sounded as she entered into heaven. Her beautiful voice will now be enjoyed by the angels on high.
Wendy is survived by her devoted husband of 21 years, Terry Pharr; her parents, Jerry and Linda Brown of Hope, Ark.; three brothers, Scott Brown of Hope, Ark., Allen and Shelby Brown of Texarkana, Ark., Brian "Boomer" and Annette Brown of Arkadelphia, Ark.; one daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Nate Currier of Rogers, Ark.; one son, Tyler Pharr of Bentonville, Ark.; and one grandson, Caston Currier of Rogers, Ark., her sweet aunt Ruby Black of Port Hueneme, Calif. Wendy was the adoring aunt to six nephews, Matt, Jack, Jared, Peyton, Eric and Kolby Brown and three nieces, Ava and Hailey Brown and Stacy Zimmerman and her little Jack Russell, Whiskey.
A visitation will be held Friday, March 2 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Hunt Chapel in Rogers. A celebration of Wendy's life will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 3 at Hunt Chapel with Brother Jim Cross and Brother Billy Dawson officiating. Burial will follow at Pinnacle Memorial Gardens in Rogers.
