ALMA - Fred Walker, 88, of Alma died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, in Fort Smith. He served in the Army during World War II, was a self-employed auto mechanic, and a member of Gregory Chapel Church of Christ
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren with burial and military honors at Dean Cemetery in Dean Springs community.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; a daughter, Freda Rose of Mena; two sons, Rick Walker of Alma and Charles Walker of Alexandria, La.; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Guy Dean Jr., C.L. Dean, Timothy Rose, Daniel Balow, Brent Hutsell and Phillip Patterson.

Marjorie Iona Walker, 83, of Alma, died Sunday, July 21, 2013 in Alma.
She was born November 4, 1929 in Dean Springs to the late Claude and Helen Dean.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Alma.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Fred Walker.
She is survived by a daughter, Freda Rose and husband Fred of Prairie Grove; a son, Rick Walker of Alma; three grandchildren, Timothy Scott Rose, Melissa Anne Hutsell, and Stephanie Reed; and six great-grandchildren, Niklas, Michael, Meliah, Moriah, Jackson, and Harrison.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow at Dean Cemetery in the Dean Springs Community, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Michael Hutsell, Niklas Rose, Guy Dean, Jr., C.L. Dean, Rodney Squires, and Timothy Rose.
