John Ben Gregory 73 of Van Buren passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He was born July 29, 1939 in Alma, Arkansas.

He was a retired Owner/Operator of Gregory Trucking and he drove trucks for most his life. He was of the Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Peters Gregory; both his parents and several brothers & sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Pixley) Gregory of the home; one daughter, Carrie Scott of Kibler; two sons, John "Johnny" Gregory, Jr. of Kibler and Robert "Bobby" Gregory of Kibler; three step-daughters, Melissa Tankersley of Van Buren, Rebecca Ivey of Cedarville, Pamela Scheurer of Van Buren; one step-son Dwight Cluck of Rudy; two sisters, Mary Lou Penland of Lawton, Oklahoma & Debbie Vanderheiden of Escondido, CA.; two brothers, Joe Gregory of Lawton, Oklahoma and Bobby Gregory of Mountainburg; eighteen grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Monday, October 22nd, 2012, 2:00pm at Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church in Van Buren. Burial will be at Gregory Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Gregory, Matt Gregory, J.P. Gregory, Austin Gregory, Brandon Jones and Ralph Jones, Roger Foss.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Summers, Justin Lester, Jim Gregory, Jackie Gregory, Lee Gregory, Bobby Gregory, Brian Gregory, Jeff Crow.

Barbara Gregory, 62, of Alma died Monday, February 17, 2003, in her home. She was of the Southern Baptist faith and was a member of Crawford County Horseman's Association and she loved to fish.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, at Ocker funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Alma with burial at Gregory Cemetery in Alma.

She is survived by her husband, John Ben Gregory Sr. of the home; a daughter, Carrie Lynn Scott of Alma; two sons, John Ben Greogory Jr. and Robert Darrell Gregory, both of Alma; two sisters, Alta Jean Jones of Van Buren and Sharon Sue Jones of Short; three brothers, Archie Darrell Peters, Fay Junior Peters and Curtis Dale Peters, all of Van Buren; eight grandchildren, Anthony Lynn Gregory and Karen Foss, both of Van Buren, Brandon Jones, Austin Gregory, Matthew Aaron Gregory, Teya Maria Kimes, Tiffany Ann Scott and J.P. Gregory, all of Alma, and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Lynn, J.P. Matthew, Austin Gregory, Brandon and Ralph Jones, Roger Foss and Jason Kimes.

The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m.today at the funeral home. End of obit.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Reverend Archie Peters; her materal grandparents, Herman and Carrie Rachel (Wood) Yakley; and her paternal grandparents.

Her mother, Lora K. (Yakley) Peters passed away on April 16, 2007.
