Edward Adolphus Reitzammer, 94, of Arkansas City, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 in Bartlett, Tennessee.
He was born on October 18, 1922 in Arkansas City, Arkansas to the late Louis and Helen Richards Reitzammer.
Edward worked for Sun Oil Company for over 30 years before retiring in 1984. He served in the United States Army Air Corps. Edward served as a deacon at Arkansas City Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for many years. He loved to crappie fish, do woodworking and enjoyed gardening.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Sandidge Reitzammer.
Survivors include his son, Joseph G. Reitzammer of Marion, AR; daughter, Anna (Ricky) Summerford of Memphis, TN; grandson, Chad Wilson and great grandchildren, Dylan Wilson and Cameron Wilson.
Visitation will be held at 9:00-9:45 am Monday, April 24, 2017 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Graveside Services will follow at 10:00 am at Tripp Cemetery in McGehee, AR with Rev. Jody Gannaway officiating.
