October 11, 1894 - May 24, 1967
Mrs. Rosie Ada Gardner, 72, of Spearsville, La., died Wednesday morning in a Bernice hospital following a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband, Lawson Gardner of Spearsville; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtis (Frank) Vines of El Dorado and Mrs. Louise Nastia of Camp Lejune, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Alto Hill of El Dorado, and Mrs. Ola Mae Stuart of Swartz, La, one brother, Dallas Wood of Farmerville, La.; 13 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Olive Branch Baptist Church with Rev. John Lee Smith and Rev. Curtis Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Olive Branch Cemetery under the direction of Pratt Funeral Home. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Frank Vines in El Dorado. Pallbearers will be Gurvis Vines, Frank Vines, Terry Vines, David Vines, Billy R. Donahue and Roy A. Gardner. (El Dorado Daily News - May 26, 1967)
