March 1, 1942 - September 30, 2010
Mrs. Florene (Flo) Lyons Pierce of Texarkana, Arkansas, went to be with our Lord on September 30, 2010. She was born March 1, 1942 in Junction City, Arkansas. She was a longtime resident of Texarkana, Arkansas and Dallas, Texas. She was a talented ceramic and porcelain artist, as well as an avid gardener. Flo was a beautiful woman in person and spirit.
In the 70's, she was featured in many newspaper and television ad campaigns in Texarkana, which led her to model for the prestigious Kim Dawson Agency in Dallas, where she also enjoyed a successful commercial real estate career. Along with her former husband, Charles B. Pierce, she appeared in many feature films.
Florene is survived by her three children, Pamula Pierce Barcelou, Charles (Chuck) Bryant Pierce, Jr., and Amanda (Amy) Pierce Squitiero, and her remaining siblings, Joyce Sanford, Robert Lyons, Benny Lyons, Steve Lyons, and David Lyons.
Flo had six grandchildren: Sloane, Chloe, Cole, Olivia, Sophia Barcelou and Brittany Pierce. She had one great-grandson. She will truly be missed by all.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas Chapel. Graveside services will be at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday at the Olive Branch Cemetery near El Dorado, Arkansas.
