Rita Peace Nelson, 89 of Junction City, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at her home.
Mrs. Nelson was born January 11, 1926 in Cloutierville, LA, to the union of Moville L. Derbonne and Angela Kerry Derbonne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands; Perry Peace and Bill Nelson, a son; Master Peace, two brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Nelson was a member of the Junction City Church of Christ for over 65 years.
Survivors include her two daughters; Joann Thurmon and husband Larry of Junction City, Lydia Hall and husband Roger of Montgomery, TX, one son; Conrad Peace of Junction City, one sister; Lucille Jones and husband Smokey of Oakdale, LA, two brothers; Martin Derbonne of Bismark, AR and Kenneth Derbonne and wife Judy of Brazoria, TX, seven grandchildren; Michael Peace, Aaron Peace, Jesse Thurmon, Casey Thurmon, Amber Hall Guerrero, Justin Hall, and Matthew Hall; fifteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, May 15, 2015, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Bailey Funeral Home, Junction City, AR.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015, at the Junction City Church of Christ with Don Ossman officiating. Interment will be in the Olive Branch Cemetery, Junction City, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Junction City, AR.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Junction City Church of Christ or Charity of the donors choice.
