February 2, 1949 - April 8, 2015
Georgene Ruth Hollinger Mello, age 66 of Junction City, passed from this life on Wednesday, Arpil 8, 2015 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. Georgene was born on February 2, 1949 in El Dorado the late Virginia Hall Hollinger and Eugene Hollinger.
Georgene was a 1967 graduate of Norphlet High School. After high school, Georgene joined the U.S. Marine Corp, serving her country for three years during the Vietnam Era. She was a member of Caledonia Baptist Church and was a retired Foster Care Parent.
Georgene was preceded in death by her parents; Eugene Hollinger and Virginia Hall Jinks and a brother, Richard Jinks.
Those left to cherish her memory include; her husband, Anthony "Tony" Mello of Junction City; one son, Matthew Mello of Camden, AR; two grandchildren, Christian Mello of Hot Springs and Clair Mello of Camden; three step grandchildren, Star McDonald, Briar McDonald and Conner McDonald all of Camden also numerous extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Bailey funeral Home in El Dorado.
Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Bailey funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sam Whitlow officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado/Junction City.
