Charles Odell Kelly, 83, of Van Buren, Arkansas died Friday, December 19, 2008 in a Barling nursing home. He was retired from Whirlpool, a former upholsterer and furniture worker, a former employee of Harding Glass and a barber. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Van Buren and attended Sunnyside Assembly of God Church. He was a mason and a member of the Van Buren Masonic Lodge #6. He was a former member of the Golden Eagles Camper Club, the NCHA and a former member, past president and secretary of the Two-States CB Club. He was preceded in death by his wife Marta Hall Kelly in 2000.

He is survived by one daughter, Karla Kelly Freeman of Barling; one son, Stevan Kelly of Van Buren; one sister, Jean Johnson of Camp Verde, Arizonia; two grandchildren, Anissa Wilson of Van Buren and Konstancee Screeton of Barling and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be at 1PM Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren, with Burial at Newberry Chapel Cemetery in Alma. Burial with Masonic Rites.

Pallbearers will be member of the Van Buren Masonic Lodge.

Marta Kelly, 75, of Van Buren died June 30, 2000
in her home.

She was a member of First Church of Nazarene in Fort Smith, a retired school teacher of 35 years in Kibler and Fort Smith Spradling Elementary Schools, a member of Fort Smith Association of Childhood International, Classroom Teachers Association, Arkansas Education Association, Golden Eagles Camper Club and the National Campers and Hikers Association. She was a resident of Van Buren for 50 years.

Funeral was in Ocker Funeral Chapel in Alma with burial at Newberry Cemetery in Alma under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

She is survived by her husband, Odell; one daughter, Karla Freeman of Van Buren; one son, Steven Kelly of van Buren; one sister, Donna Hartwell of Syracuse, Ind.; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Charlie Aldridge, Bill Jones, Roy Haskins, Jim Miller, Elwood Blan and Harold Daily.

Honorary pallbearers were Golden eagles Camper Club and the Adult IV Sunday School Class of First Church of the Nazarene.
