Jim Marvin Hanserd, 89, of Alma, Arkansas died Sunday, July 17, 2005, in Alma. He was retired from Van Buren Auto Supply and a former employee at the Dora Information Center; he attended Van Buren Church of the Nazarene, was an Army veteran of World War II, when he served as a master sergeant in the 746 Bombardment Squadron, and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Newberry Chapel Cemetery in Alma, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Gladys Hanserd, 82, of Alma died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, in a local hospital.
She was a homemaker and attended New Heights Baptist Church in Alma.
She was the widow of Jim Hanserd.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Newberry Cemetery near Alma.
She is survived by three daughters, Judy Matheny of Rudy, Kris Tutwiler of Alma and Margie Hulse of Van Buren; three sisters, Norma Williams and Linda Rogers, both of Van Buren, and Azana O'Kelley of Alma; two brothers, Frank Peters of Arizona and Neal Peters of Van Buren; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steven Garrison, Thomas Bland, Scott Reinschmiet, Gary and Dana O'Kelley and Avery Pense.
